Default Front Licence plate mounting?

Afternoon, guys.

So I need to mount my front plate on the H3, I'm in CA and not having one mounted is becoming quite expensive!

I don't really want to drill into the metal on the front of the H, I've had a look for some model specific brackets but can't seem to find any.

I assume most of you have license plates on the front of your Hs, how have you mounted them and what have you used, pics welcome.

Thanks
Ben

B.Martin-
I lived in CA for many years and I know what you mean, those cops will stop you and give you a fix-it ticket for no front plate.
There is no getting around having to drilling some holes on the front steel bumper, for the license plate
That is where the plates have to go.
I'm in Nevada and unless there are provided for mounting holes you do not need a front plate.
So, I welded up my front factory square holes and sanded it smooth and painted the steel bumper.
I always thought front plates were unsightly.

You could zip tie it if you don't mind the look?

Every H3 we have owned has had the 2 square mounting holes in the lower valence. If you don't already have the plastic nuts that pop into the front valence hit the local parts store. They sell them in packs of 2. See photo below. On the silver valence you can really see the square holes.

Mine is black, as you can see but I'm 100% sure there are no mounting holes on her.

Didn't really want to drill into the front, but looks like I may have to then.

Thanks, guys.

Take a good look, I'm pretty sure you have them. All H3s produced in the LA plant had them.
