Default Front leak- yellowish

Soooo.. I walked outside three days ago and there was a small puddle of "oil" from the front area of my H2. It appears to be a yellowy orange color. It's definitely not motor oil. I assume that it's probably from somewhere in the front end... I thought I would ask you guys before I went poking around as I have very little mechanical skills in this area. I will say that I got the local jiffy to look at it while they were changing my oil. They said they couldn't see where it was leaking from... Not that I am surprised. I do remember a similar smelling substance from my 1995 z71 back in the day. I had to replace my "ax-u-ate-or" as it was called. I did it myself and swore that I would never forget that smell. lol. This smells similar. This concludes my explanation. Anyone feel free to start wherever you see fit. What is it?

Hello.
I just had the same problem. And it turned out to be the water pump. I would check that to see if it's the same for you.

CB, spray clean the underside of the PS pump and hoses. Use a degreaser and let it dry. Start the truck and move the steering from side to side a few times. Stop and look under again. Look for evidence of a leak, it just might be a loose fitting. If nothing found, look again after driving a few days. Hope you find it.

Default bearings

Thanks for the advice. I finally took the truck in to the shop. They replaced the bearings on the drivers side front wheel. Wheel was about to come off. lol. I sprayed the hoses etc too though as you stated. I think both problems are now solved. 500.00 bucks later. lol
