Has anyone damaged their front chrome grill and fixed it? I have a huge gouge in mine... It didn't happen 4 wheeling which I would of been ok with... I ran into a freakin starbucks trash can, I am so ruining my reputation.

 

damn brother i will think that the only way to fix it would be using a lttle bit of bondo and paint it white

 

black i'm guessin the brother is a girl. but he' right with the fix and yes you can do it if you take it off 2 hours tops. act like your filling a finger nail imo same deal different stuff

 

You would have to weld the gouge and grind it down..then rechrome it. Cheaper to buy a new one.

Sorry to inform you but that grille is ABS molded plastic.it contains no steel, so welding of any sort is out of the question.. Fill it with bondo and sand the complete grille smooth and repaint to match your truck. If you want chrome go buy a new one they have them on Ebay..

 

eBay has them CHEAP............

hey here what you can do!,

take it out
fill the area with bondo
sand the whole thing with a 400 thean a 800 grit
clean it
buy some bull dog paint adehesive promoter,
spray the bull dog
spray your 3 or 4 coats of color matched paint
spray 3 coats of clear coat!
