I want to get mine chromed, is it a pain to take off or is it easy like the skid plate?

 

It is very easy only 2 bolts on bottom and 2 bolts on top. To take the top bolts out you need to remove 2 plastice gromitz.

i feel wrong even answering, but it's not difficult. the plastic facia above the steel bumper comes off with the bumper, so you'll need to disconnect the running lights as well (just remove the connector on the back of the assembly). remove the 2 bolts on the bottom of the bumper, on either side of the skidplate. there are 2 plastic caps on the plastic facia above the steel bumper (on either side of the hitch pin hole), remove those to gain access to the other 2 bolts holding the bumper assembly on. once the whole thing is off you can remove the plastic facia from the steel bumper, unless you plan to have the plastic bit chromed as well. both sets of bumper bolts get tightened to 63 lb. ft. when you reinstall it.
