Lots of forums are less active. The social aspect of forums seems to be losing to Faceborg.

The most active section is the H2 area on here for sure. While I'm fairly new to Hummers I do like to participate and share info, etc. My thinking is as the Hummers continue to age and come down in price a new younger group will start becoming more frequent as they start trying to hunt down info on modifications, what works, how to fix common issues, etc.

The other major hummer forums are completely dead to the H2 crowds. All I see on them anymore are posts regarding H3's so I rarely visit the other sites anymore. I remember when I would spend hours checking new threads on 4-5 crazy busy forums. Now this is it!

This younger crowd you speak of will not have the know how to keep these things running. For being an older vehicle they were ahead of their time IMO. Not to mention the more are in accidents and totaled since a lot of H2 specific parts aren't available anymore.

What makes you say that the younger crowd wouldn't know how to keep these running? The engine and tranny can be found in just about every junkyard in the USA and are not hard to service.

The younger people I know and have had contact with couldn't turn a wrench to save their life. Obviously that doesn't include everyone but given the age and mileage of these rigs, they have a lot going on. I'm not talking about drivetrain either, I'm talking more of the H2 specific issues most of us have faced over the years.

Not only that but the younger crowd seems to favor Facebook Hummer pages over the "old fashion" forums.
Unfortunately I see the forum's days (all of them, not just this one) are numbered.

Truly sad. Facebook groups have nothing on traditional forums for being a database of information. We'll see what happens. This will continue to be my main forum until the day I try logging on and its shut down-hopefully that day never comes!
