2008 Base Hummer H3,74,000 highway miles. Never did any fluid changes, besides oil, every 3,000 miles.Dont offroad at all. Is there any fluid changes i should be concerened with changing.Enquired at dealer today, about changing Transfer case fluid. He quoted $450.00 to change Transfer case fluid, and Diffreential fluid.THanks

 

Your users manual lists all the fluids and when they need to be changed. If you don't have a users manual, do a google search and you will find one for free.

 

At $300 I would not have the dealer do the T Case, both diffs, trans. and oil.
It is not rocket science, everything has a drain plug except the trans. A trans gasket and filter kit is cheap at about $22.

 

did the issue of t case fluid type ever get settled?
some say use what your book calls for,skinny atf, or thick manual tran grease 90 wt.
if you have no book,well?

i would check whats in it and use that,(id rather use the thick stuff)
