Default Finished installing a winch today

Here are a few pictures of my H2 with winch installed. Install went smooth other then not having big enough drill & needing longer battery cables. Can't wait to go offloading!

Very nice and congratulations on the new toys

I use my winch frequently, typically to pull jeeps out

Might I make a suggestion that will save you lots of headache and make using your winch so much easier and safer

Grab a synthetic winch rope from Masterpull or somewhere.

The masterpull version for that winch is Winch rope: 3/8" X 100' 26,500lb

I know I use it, and I decided to switch to synthetic about the second or third time I used my winch. Mostly because I cut the hell out of my hand on the cable even thru my leather gloves, my cable was getting rust spots after two months.

I've been using my synthetic now for a few years and its not frayed, its never cut me, it cleans easier (yeah your going to have to scrub crap out of a steel winch line if you want it to look decent and last).

Just a suggestion, its not a cheap upgrade but I wish I would have done it before I had to have 4 stitches in my hand and ruined a weekend of wheelin

I recommend you buy a cover for it as well.

I have one on my rear winch and everytime I pull the cover off and it looks great I'm pleased with the $60 I spent on the Warn cover.
