Mine had the external spare carrier but I wanted the internal carrier instead so I sold my external carrier and bought the internal one. I guess its just a matter of taste. Having the spare tire on the inside does take up cargo room, but does help keep it from being stolen or having the UV rays from the sun dry rot the rubber out. Of course you could just Armor All it.

I like the look of the truck with the external carrier but hate ****ers that be looking to steal it too :-(

Has anyone try to spray paint the rear cargo plastic side panels ? I try cleaning it and they look better but i was wondering if anyone had done it before ....
