Finally!
Hello, all.
First, just wanted to thank all the members here for the help they unwittingly provided in my recent vehicle search. I have lurked for months, doing research for my purchase. First I wanted an H3, then fell in love with an H2 but didn't think I could afford one. When gas prices rose Hummer prices seemed to fall accordingly, and I was able to find a used 03 H2 in Omaha in great shape, about 60kon the clock, and the price was just what the doctor ordered. Took the plunge and bought it! So far it's amazing! Gas mileage is the same or slightly better than my old Suburban, I love the way it drives, the seats are absolutely the most comfortable I have ever sat in, and well, its a Hummer!
I'll post some pics as soon as it stops raining, hailing and blowing. Also as soon as I get it de-blinged a bit. The guy I bought it from put every chrome accessoryknown to man on it, and I want to go all black! Will be posting some stuff to sell/trade in hopes of making it look the way I want. Anyway, just wanted to say hello, and thanks! You guys were a great help (and didn't even know it)
Chris

RE: Finally!
Thanks for the warm welcome, nice indeed. Now for my first question...How do you take the roof rails off? It can't be as easy as it looks, right? I have one of the factory-wired light rails I want to get rid of (wont fit in garage or bank drive-up) along with all the chrome accessories. Do I just turn the ***** and lift? Thanks again...
