Well I opted to engage my attorney, and the insurance company revised the payoff to a total of $26,400. Which is fair considering all things.

16k is right for an unmodified base model 2003 H2, certainly not one that has been "properly" modified for its intended off road use. Some chrome a set of 22's and an obnoxious sound system would not fall into the "properly modified" category.

 

Usually when you put Mods on a vehicle it DECREASES the Value NOT the other way around! I Don't know about you but i Didn't buy my H2 for Off Road Use! A Modded Out Vehicle is the LAST thing a Dealer wants to try & get Rid of, in fact they will Usually take all the Mods OFF & put it back as close to original as possible! There's No Such thing as "properly" modified, modified is MODIFIED! What may be Properly to You, is Not Necessarily the Same "Properly" to somebody Else!

 

Yeah, i'm SURE when you said Attorney the Ins. Co. Took OFF Running & Gave you an EXTRA 10K! Lol!

 

Any mods you make, are not covered by an issurance loss, the vehicle gets stolen, its your problem, as to what you did as far as mods...you eat the loss...

All i know, is, as soon as i bought mine, i dropped 600.00 on a quality Viper system, you can't even open the SUT rear door, without it alerting me, don't try to tow it, if the angle of the vehicle is changed by a mere 3 inches, all hell breaks lose...
