On the passenger side what sounds like is coming from under the dash is a fan like whinning / ticking noise like if it were rubbing on something but it only does it while the air or heat is running whether its defrost,feet,or normal it does it. Any ideas?

 

I have a ticking noise in my 04 as well. So I bring it to the dealership (originally to get more key pads made), and the guy tells me that the ticking noise it actually your fuel injectors firing and it should go away once they've "warmed" up. Well, he was right, it does come and go, although it is annoying.

 

popo, good to see you're keeping your head down. does the ticking change if you adjust the fan speed, or is it constant? if it changes, then it's the fan. if it's consistent, i'm of no help whatsoever . . . .[&o]
