Fan clutch replacement
I need to replace the fan clutch on my 97. Can this be done without removing the cooling stack? It looks like I can unbolt the fan from the clutch then unbolt the clutch shaft from the pulley. Then get the fan out and finagle the clutch out through the top. Is this true?
We'll never mind. I got both the fan and the clutch out without removing the cooling stack. I had to remove the idler pulley assembly, the water pump pulley, and separate the fan from the clutch. You have to finagle the fan out through the upper passenger side of the motor. Same with the clutch.
