I almost bought a set once. Oh yeah, I saw them on a Jeep. Looked good for a road-worthy A/T. Sorry, can't help other than to say that the tread depth is not even across the face of the tire.

Well I bought them. So far I really like them. ride very smooth. Not a lot of road noise and a great looking tread.

A few years back Falken sponsored the 'Jeep JK Experience' trail run and many of the rigs ran the WildPeaks which were brand new to the market then. They ran all the same trails and obstacles as the rigs equipped with more aggressive mud and rock climbing treads and had no issues.

Here's a random article: Project-JK.com - Jeep JK Wrangler Resource » Falken Wild Peak AT - They Get You Going!By Discount Tire

You can Google many more articles and YouTube vids related to the event and your tires.

In other words, they did surprisingly well for an AT tread and you made a good choice!

Looking forward to your impressions of the Falkens offroad. They have a 325/85/16 that looked interesting.

I'm about to buy a set but I heard that they don't perform well on mud, rocks and other tough trails.

Funny, I kept hearing how well they did. But then they aren't an MT or even an aggressive Looking AT. See xlr8n's links above too

Chances of my truck seeing a S. Korean tire are ZERO.

While the 'buy American' sentiment is applauded and needed in this tough economy, consider where the raw product for any tire originates. It isn't in the US. Lots of foreigners getting wealthy in the tire market, regardless of brand.

The Falken subdivision has a strong US presence and employees many American workers.

Falken Tire Corporation is a Japanese manufacturer of automobile tires. Originally created in 1983 as a brand for Ohtsu Tire and Rubber to sell their lineup of performance tires under, Falken became part of Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI) when they acquired Ohtsu in 2003. Currently, Falken is paired with fellow SRI brand Dunlop Tyres to form Dunlop Falken Tires, Ltd., the parent group of Falken Tire Corporation.
Falken launched in its native country of Japan in 1983 and was introduced to the North American market two years later. At its inception, Falken was created as the flagship high performance radial brand under Ohtsu Tire and Rubber.
Falken Tire Corporation, based in Rancho Cucamonga, California, is the corporate headquarters and West Coast distribution center for North American operations. Additional Falken Tire distribution locations include warehouses in Tennessee, New Jersey and Texas.
But even if the tires in question were made in S.Korea, wouldn't it be better to help bolster that economy of our ally which helps in defending against oppression from communist N.Korea, rather than say bolstering the economy of communist country? We could take a quick rundown of all the products in your home that originate in China.

Chances of your truck being 100% American made are also ZERO, but I understand your basic premise.
