I am going to pick up my H3 today! but it does not have the factory chrome package, I was wondering has anyone had there regular handles swapped out for the chrome handles? if so roughly how much did it cost? I have seen the aftermarket handles that you use 3M tape to stick them on the factory handles but I would prefer to have them swapped out at the dealer.

 

I just asked the same question a few days ago, the dealer told me about $100 for chrome handles...I have not ordered them yet or know anything about them but I will let you know when I get them.

after alot of arguing I was able to get a similar H3 with chrome from the factory for less than I was willing to pay. I was looking for a base model with a sunroof and chrome package. but I ended up buying one with the adventure package, chrome package, sunroof, XM and trailering package and spare tire cover for 31,000 out the door.

 

@ face value, it sounds like you got a good deal.

 

I'd see if I could find someone who wanted to swap my black handles, for thier chrome before I dropped the money on them. There actually are some of us who prefer the black, over bling. Just my opinion.

 

Even though I like the chrome look especially on mine..I see black as a viable alternative..But I would go with everything blackened, including the grille and smoked lenses...My personalized vanity tag of course would read "BLK-OUT"

 

I hear ya, bro. I'd LOVE to black out the H3. But Mrs. Fireman wants the grill to stay chrome. [:'(] I've shown her pics of blacked out grills and she thinks they look ok... but then there is the jibberish that follows, where her mouth is moving and that Charlie Brown teacher noise is heard.

I'm just waiting patiently for the day it flakes or gets scratched. I could go either way on the wheels. I like the aluminum look, so I don't mind either way.

 

 

I would be more than happy to trade my black handles for some chrome ones...and even throw a few bucks in...anyone?? anyone??
