Default EXhaust whats the DIFF????????????

I know this has been talked about alot but I dont understand. If the Volant exaust is 250.00 why pay 500 and 700 for the others. From what I can see the Volant looks just like all the others. Does anyone have the Volant exhaust. If anyone can clear this up for me it would be great I am looking for a system tonight and want to put my order in so I can get it by this weekend.

Thanks
Alll

From the main H3 forum page go to the "SEARCH" block and type in Volant exhaust. There are a number of threads reference the exhaust including mounting issues from someone in March I believe.
This helped me with the exhaust issue too as I am looking in the future - hopefully sooner than later - to get a cat back system.
Hope this helps

I'm not entirely sure about a performance difference on the exhausts, but I just put my order in with Volant last Wednesday for the Cat back and their CAI. I plan on having the exhaust installed by a muffler shop incase there are any issues, they should be able to do any mods on the spot, but based on my research I don't expect much trouble.

I am having a concern with Volant though. Placed the order last Wednesday through their website and got an automated email confirmation back almost immediately, all good to that point. However, I've submitted a question to them about filters, and also another request asking them to advise the order status, but no replies from them. Furthermore when I log into my account there's no record of my order coming up. Next step is a call to them tomorrow.

Sorry, I didn't mean to expand so much on that, and certainly isn't my intent to influence a decision one way or the other. Hopefully this will all work out without too much hassle. Being a sales manager myself, maybe I expect too much sometimes, but I think a week is pushing the envelope. Once I get this all worked out and get it installed I'll try to get some before/after pics up, and maybe a video.

I had the same exact problem, ordered last Weds, got an email response immediately and haven't heard back from them since. Order doesn't appear on their website and my account was charged. Will call tomorrow. From what I can tell, $250.00 is their on sale price. Most other vehicles are in the $800s.

Call them for a status update, they'll give you the UPS tracking number.. I ordered mine last Wed as well, it arrived yesterday (Texas) ! I know they only work Mon-Thurs so if they didnt get it shipped on Thurs, it waited till Monday. It looks like a very nice kit, well packaged and that polished stainless looks great !
I'm debating to do it myself or not. If I do it myself and run into a problem there is a muffler shop just 2 miles from me... The only issue I've read is installing it on a year model it wasnt made for...even then it was just a hanger alignment issue(minor).

I just bought a Magnaflow cat back for my 08 H2. Got a good deal on eBay thanks to a tip from Doc Olds! Got shipping confirmation within 2 days (yesterday) and will arrive this Friday. I made sure it was specifically for my model. I am doing the install. Only 2 bolts, how hard can it be? Update later! Name: icon6.gif

Glad to help brud. Installs are super easy. I did my MagnaFlow on my H3, including ripping out the factory system in about 35 minutes.

Couple quick pointers. Before you start taking off the factory system, spray the rubber hangers at the mounts with a silicone spray lubricant, armor all type stuff works ok, but silicone is better. After removing the two factory bolts behind the CAT, get a medium pry bar, or a large screw driver, and find a way to pry the rubber hanger off the mounts. If you have a craftsman cotter key puller, they work great because you can hook the rubber and pull it off the mounts without any damage pretty quick. http://www.autobodytoolmart.com/pc-1...ey-puller.aspx

Before you go to put in the new system, spray the rubber hangers again and the new mounts, then when you get it in position, the rubber hangers will slide on much easier.

I have the Volant system and fit it on a 08. You have to have the shop weld and extension on one the hangers. Other than that it works fine. Sounds real nice. As for power feels a bit more peppy but its prob just the sound makin it feel that way. I am going to get the Volant CAI next then we will see what diff it will make
