EU-modification, rear lights
The turn signal and brake light IS the same wire. It is a two filament bulb with three wires. 1 wire is the ground, 1 wire feeds + to the tail lamp filament and 1 wire feeds + to the turn signal/brake light filament. When the turn signal is activated at the same time the brake light is on, that filament cycles off and on. Of coarse this is assuming you have a 2 bulb system consisting of a backup lamp and a tail, brake/turn lamp. If you have a 3 bulb system (back up, tail lamp/brake, and yellow turn signal), then you DO have a separate wire for the turn signal and brake light.
