All Im new to the forum so I apologize if this question has been answered already.

Brief situation - I have also had the head problems at 38k miles........a new head was installed and the problems are gone for now. I am currently have 48k.

Question - Has anyone made the change over to a small block chevy motor (i.e. 327 ci or 5.3 L). I love my H3 but hate the engine and power problems so I want to convert over to a 327 ci. And idea's, info or links that I might try?

Sell it and buy an Alpha. By the time you get done with a sawp, conversion and electronic issues, and the cost, even if you are doining it all yourself, you would be much further ahead with a used Alpha.

OR, mod the the I5. It is pretty easy and cheap to grow it some *****. And, with the stock motor you can still sell it when you are done. Nobody in their right mind buys a power plant converted truck, certainly not any where near market price or the pile of dough you would throw in that hole.
