I know Laredo is a ways from the coast, but are you gonna get slammed by the black hole coming up the gulf? We're already boarding up stores in Houston and getting our COWS and portable switches ready. Keep safe down there, at least you have a vehicle that can help get you the hell out of the way..[]

Shortbus, I thought you lived in California. Well, if you are in Houston, good luck! Laredo is the safest place in the world when it comes to natural disasters. But I am worried about my son in Brownsville and another in College Station. I already told them, "I'll come and get ya if you need to evacuate!" Thanks for caring!

i am in CA, i was referring to my company offices in Houston, we're being bombarded with emails about the preparations. the most i have to worry about here are earthquakes and forest fires, and i live on the good side of the san andreas fault. good luck

my wife works for cingular too, and she was just asked if she wanted to volunteer to fly to houston to man the switch while the hurricane comes through. guess the fact that she's 8 1/2 months pregnant never crossed their minds.

I was wondering what Cingular was going to do during the hurricane. I didn't think they were going to stop operations! [>:]
