Default Easy on/off rack mounts?

Hi All,

I just installed a Wilderness Rack from Garvin Industries. It is a great rack and looks good... BUT it is about 1/2-inch too tall for my garage door! [:@]

Does anybody know of either a) a lower-height mounting system or, b) a quick-disconnect system? I'd appreciate your ideas.

Thanks,
-Alan

This may seem like a pain in the rump...But my neighbor has an H2SUT and he lowers the air pressure in the tires, just to roll it in his garage...You could also get smaller diameter of tires...or you could put a conservitive lowering Kit on too..Other than that, I'd get rid of the wind noise generator on the roof.

Here's a couple pix. One shows the rack installed (sorry, just a quick snapshot out in the driveway). The other shows a close up of the bolt-on mounts.

Great minds think alike. You're obviously a person of taste and refinement.

I got the Wilderness Sport rack. I bought them online, I think from rackoutfitters.com.
