Default E-Mail to the Service Manager

Below is an e-mail I sent to the actual dealerservice manager. Wondering what the response will be.Sir my apologies for bothering you on this lovely Monday morning. I'm contacting you because I have recentlyhave beenhavingmyyellow 06H3 serviced at a Cadillac dealership here in Ocala because the drive to Orlando is a bit out of my way. So far I have had a driver side CV axle replaced then a week later I had a tie rod replaced, because they didn't tightening down the bolt on the wheel side and it popped out as I was driving down I75. Then last week I got it back after three weeks of being in the shop for some grinding noise the truck was making while moving but only when I wasn't pressing the gas pedal. They replaced two transfer cases(that I know of) then they were told by some engineers that they would have to rebuild the front differential. They completed this and I received my truck back. I had it for one weekend and still noticed the sound except for nowthe noise isthere all the time.In addition when letting my foot off of the gas and then reapplying it the truck makes a hard clunking sound and you feel it shake the truck. I've called this morning and I'm going to take it back in because I know it's not done right. And just as information to you... I haven't even taken it out of four wheel high since I've gotten it back from them. I drive 4 miles round trip to work on paved roads.Anyway I just wanted to make you aware of the problems I'm having and to let you know it's starting to become more ofa hassle than it's worth to own the vehicle.I haven't even owned it a year and I'm havingall these problems. Ionly have around 8000 miles on it currently. I'll cut this here for now and let you know what happens when I take it back to them today. Thank you for your time, I hope you have a great week.

I had the same "clunking" noise in my truck. It was the differential mounting bushings. They crack under extreme torque and must be replaced. They may have forgotten to put them back on when they replaced your differential.

is this warranty work? if it is, i'm surprised a non-hummer dealer will even touch it. good luck, not sure what the hummer dealer service manager can tell you, other than you should have brought it in to them for repairs.

That was a funny *** post for sure. My local Cadillac dealer does Hummer warranty work. Either way the clunking noise was from them not re-installing the front diff mounting bracket correctlyis how they explained it. It had to be dropped and refit into place. After that it sounded a lot more solid. The churning noise is still there, but I'm going to let that go for a bit since the service guy couldn't hear what I was hearing. He kept asking me if it was the tires I was hearing... and I'm like hell no I know what a tire sounds like on pavement it's a mechanical sound I'm hearing. Also I'm not one of those guys that calls in and says I hear a ticking noise and come to find out it's my watch on my wrist. I've done the mechanic line of work on F-22s and F-15s so I know how it goes when you're trying to ask someone else to describe a noise to you. So I try not to be too picky. As for the e-mail to the Hummer service manager. I'm going to wait for a week.If I don't get a response I’ll call corporate and let them know that because of a lack of communication from the service manager my brother and mom will be buying Landrovers or Jeeps instead. As well as my next purchase will be thought about a bit harder.

On a side note... I LOVE MY HUMMER LOL!!! So I hope it all works out.

At least you were polite and informative to the manager. I can speak first hand that you will get better results (as frustrating as it might be) when you work WITH a good service department rather than argue with them all the time. I hope they can find out what's going and help you out very soon!
