Duratrac inflation suggestions
Been running some 265 GY Duratracs for a month now and absolutely love them. Great tires but I have some confusion regarding inflation pressure. I know many tires have different ranges and lets not get into what that does to the TPMS (it finally shut up when I got new tires, LOL)
With the factory Goodyears, through judicious pressure management, I easily got 80K out of them!
The max PSI was 44 and I usually ran 42psi ave on the road. Little lower in the winter, little higher if I was going on a long drive out of town. But these seemed to be a bit firmer sidwall
Now the new Duratracs I see have a max of 50psi listed. I asked the shop to install a bit higher than the manufacturer recommendation (whatever that is) and they installed them at 44psi.
Sidewall looks a little soft at that psi but being as it's winter, I'm OK with it. But heading into spring, I'm wondering about ave psi suggestions based on my previous method of success.
any suggestions?
Thanks!

Duratrac's
I have 2 sets of Duratracs. The set on my Sport Trac has been on there for 2yrs, and I ran them at 36 on the Trac.. I have roughly 30,000 plus on them and they still have 70% of there tread left. I rotated them every 3500 miles.. Now I just put these on the Hummer about 1 1/2 months ago and I have been running these at 38 on the front and 36 on the back.. I put a little bit more in the front due to the weight.... That seems to work for me... and I already rotated the ones on the Hummer also... Aggressive tires needs to be rotated every 3-4,000. They will last you alot longer...

I have 285 Duratracs, found that 41 psi was best for even treadface wear, but I also run about 1 or 2 psi above that for theoretically better mileage. The sidewall looks like that until really aired down. I found the tread a little squirmy when new, hence the 42 psi I settled on.
