Hi All.
I have a 2006 H2, it came from southern US, (Florida I believe).I live in ontario Canada. 1. Does anyone know if that state has a law in which you can not have/drive with DRL's ? (I am thinking they have been disabled somehow ? Or 2. The DRL's only blink on with the unlock key fob. they do not come on when i start or drive the vehicle. they do not come on in either headlight on mode, or auto mode. I see a relay and a 10 amp fuse in the under hood fuse box and they look fine.
I need to figure out this problem so my local law enforcement dudes don't pull me over and summons me as DRL's are required by law in Canada.
Any help, appreciated.

In Florida you do not have to have DRL's. It may be something simple. With the engine running switch the light switch to Auto. I believe you can turn off the DRL's by doing this when they are on. This may have been done which is why yours are not on. If they blink on when you hit the Fob then the circuit is fine.

 

hey 1bartman, on my 2005 the daytime running lights only come on once the engine has been started and your transmission is in any gear except park, crank it up and have some one check if they come on once you put it in gear, hope this helps...........

 

Maybe the fuse has been pulled??

 

Car must be in drive.

 

Did you ever find why the DRL's are not coming on?
I just noticed that mine are not working while driving. They come on when I use the key fob to unlock the doors but not while driving.

 

They will not come on if the head lights are one. You have to do the DRL mod with the wire and the diode to get them to come on with the Headlights. just use the search feature for "DRL Mod"
