no promises but you can try to remove your battery cables and touch them together. this is a soft reboot. it helps with a lot of small glitches for gm. it wont rewrite a program but can reset a glitch . but as xx said use the memory seat until them then stick the key in and it should work. good luck with the soft boot.....

 

It won't work for the seat issue... it was a known warranty issue affecting 1000's of seat modules...


any dealer that charged you $80 is a crook and I would never go back to them.... it's not like a waterpump wearing out... or a belt cracking... GM had known programming issues with those modules for the seat...

 

Just an update on my experience with this. Disconnecting the battery did nothing, even after touching them together. However, a re-flash by the dealer fixed it. They had no clue but I told them what to do in view of this thread. They were excited that they now know how to fix the problem. Think they charged me $40 or something like that.
