The dreaded Sunroof curse...Lifted!
Hey everyone! I finally got around to addressing the sunroof leakage issue on my H3. After 3 attempts to locate the drivers side drain tube firewall port I watched this particular YouTube video
and if you stop it at 1:49 it shows you *exactly* where to feel and ultimately find the drain tube and the rubber grommet that needs to be drilled through. I initially used a drill bit, but I got better results from a steak knife The passenger side goes even quicker as now you know what your "feeling" for. Total time invested about 45 mins. It absolutely poured later that afternoon (I live in Tampa, Fl and rain at this time of year is just a basic daily thing), so I run out to the driveway after the rain stops and success! Both floorboards dry!
If you haven't done this yet, I strongly suggest it, the original equipment design is flawed, it's only a matter of time before they clog. (2 cents)

The modified drain grommets work usually but sometimes its not enough. I have been fighting this problem for years in my 2006 H3, the way I finally fixed this problem was to change the sunroof seal GM part number 15242781. Another thing to consider is that the there are also rear grommets that are located under the rear quarter panel plastic wheel opening flares.
