C5 Corvettes are notorious for having their door lock relays go 'on the fritz'. My C5, as well as my brother's C5 have both had the passenger side door relay go out. It seems that it's a common problem when scouring the pages of variousCorvette forums. Although repairing one doesn't appear to be all that difficult with a few parts readily available from a local Radio Shack, 'Corvette Tax' brings the bill up to about $1,200 when left with the Corvette dealer for repair. you'd have better luck following the advice you got here than going to the dealer. my '03 takes 2 taps on the unlock button to unlock all the doors, once only unlocks the driver's door. try your spare remote just to make sure. if you're out of warranty, the dealer will take forever to find an electrical problem.
