Default Door handles

The chrome on the door handles of my 08 H3 had separated and was sticking up.
I thought the dealer had used the overlay kit instead of the factory handles so went to dealer in
Columbia, SC (not the one where I got the H3) and got a set of new handles.
100 bucks got home changed out the handles and the old handles are the same
part number as the new ones, hope the chrome part does not lift off the new ones.
Didn’t try to get warranty because so far Hummer and dealers don’t think any of my issues
are covered. Took three trips at 150 miles each to get seat beat retractor replaced. Had to pull
belt out with two hands and it would retract very slowly. Dealer said it was in spec.
Drivers door shuts hard and is mounted crooked dealer says can’t adjust, local body shop
can and will adjust it for 50 dollars. Love my Hummer but did not realize it came as a partially assembled
kit. Some other small problems but I will correct them myself and avoid dealerships.
Called Hummer customer service a few times always get someone in the Philippines waste of time.
Love my H3 but Hummer and dealers make it difficult.

Go to a different dealer. There are a few bad ones but not many. Most do a very good job.

Been to two one where I got the H3 and one other both are over a hundred mile round trip. Others are even futher. Dealer in Columbia is not to bad just hard to work with. But seems to be more interested in helping after talking to them. biggest issue is Hummer customer support they have not been very helpful. Really like the H3 but it is simpler to do as much on my own thango todealer. They wanted 70 dollars to change out door handles , did it myself took 15 min. Not all that unhappy with second dealer
except for 3 hour ride to get there and back. Wish I could use the GM dealer where I got my car they are good.

You should be able to go to any GM Dealer for Warranty repairs. My dealer was a GM dealer until they just finished building their Hummer Dealership. Always got great service there.

Wish I could go to any GM dealer but according to Hummer customer service and my GM dealer and many others on this forum
you have to go to a Hummer dealer. My Hummer dealer is also A GM dealer.
OEM handles are plastic.

I just went out and looked at my '07 handles. They are not constructed like that. Are you sure you don't have a FJ?

New and inproved means they found a way to make it cheaper and charge more for it. LOL
