Unhappy Made in the USA with Genuine Chinese Parts!!

Look at the Facts, GM already subs parts production to China, USA is in debt to China almost 1 Trillion dollars and the US government is making kissy kissy to China. China is wanting some guarantees from our government about payback. I doubt they will dump additional funds into a failing brand. (What would change to improve Hummer sales??) Do you honestly think a Hummer is worth more or better with Chinese parts!!!

The Shrivesport plant will stay in the US this is true, (where the smaller GM trucks are also produced) but how long before a good portion of the Hummer drive train and parts will be moved to China???? There are no provisions to make sure parts production will remain in the US. AM General (who makes the true Humvee) is NOT OWNED BY GM and is not affected in this deal in anyway. (Thank God, imagine our US Troops driving a Chinese POS).

Many choose to turn a blind eye or wish no to recognize the severity of this situation. I for one just hope we can put some checks and balances back into the Government in 2010 and stop this insanity before its to late!!!!

Lets see, Banks, Stock Market, Auto Manufacturing, High Tech companies, all on thin ground. Next on the agenda Health Care! The Oil companies are doing well, maybe they should buy Hummer from GM.

Unhappy Tough times ahead for the Hummer Owners

Well, bit the bullet took the hit and sold my beloved H2 before the bottom fell completely out. It's amazing the attitude of car lots (such as Carmax) and other in the regards of the Hummer brand. I heard comments like "We can't give them away" and the ever popular "nobody is buying them because of increasing gas costs" and dont forget the "Hummer is a dead brand, GM dumped them to China". Or the "We already have 2 on the lot that aren't moving", Here's another good one I heard today, "the government is proposing a gas hog tax aimed at high fuel consuming vehicles this affects resale".

It's amazing how a $64k + vehicle only 2 years old is now only worth mear $25k and that was after shopping around for the best buyout. They could have at least offered me a cigarette or some KY jelly... I even loved the dealer's comments to sell my car to KBB because I mentioned the value was listed there was much higher there. I do hope for others owners that are currently holding tough that this attitude changes for the positive. Otherwise the Hummer might be worth as much as a Rambler (for those who remember).

Thank you Mr. Obama, my car is worthless, my home is worth 40% less, my 401k is down 50% and the national debt is so high it can't even be computed. Next you will tax and screw up my health care. And you have only been in office for 6 months. I can't possibly imagine what you will be able to accomplish by the end of your term.

Ok, now I feel a little better, flame gun off, knife put away, stepping off soap box, soothing sore areas with Preperation H but still feeling sad about selling my Hummer, it truly was like no other. I can least say I had one and it was a great ride while it lasted.

I ended up selling it for 25K (to a broker, listed it for a week in a local paper without 1 call and no dealers wanted it). I was lucky to get that and yes as far as US Auto industry is concerned it is Obama's fault. He stuck his fingers into GM when he should have just let the company restructure, and come back ready to go. Instead, he wasted US tax dollars, fired the CEO and basically distroyed GM. Now parts of the company is owned by the government (and we know what happen with this takes place), partially owner by foreign companies and is in shambles. GM will never recover to be what it once was.

Pontiac is dead, Hummer has gone Chinese, Saturn now belongs to Penske, Obama is now dictating EPA requirements the car companies will have to meet, I won't even go into Chrysler!!! soon we will all be driving around boxes with high gas mileage. Our classics will be deamed clunkers (see the new bill just passed!!) and we will be forced to give them up or be taxed to death to partially make up the huge national debt that Obama racked up with the automaker bailout and stimulis package. The above has ALL HAPPENED DURING OBAMA's WATCH!
