Honestly, unless I do 84 month financing and get an amazing interest rate, even with the dealmy friendis getting me, I really doubt I'll be willing to make the kind of payments I'd have to on the Alpha, and that's assuming I even get them to take back my leased vehicle, which I doubt is going to happen.

If the Alpha doesn't work out, this is my next choice:

We both really love the two-tone interior, so if the Alpha is out of reach, this is more realistic, even if we do end up upside down a little on the loan.

I have a small dent in my rear bumper and some minor nicks in the paint, as well as the cargo area not exactly being in pristine condition, so I guess it all depends on how picky they are. Impy told me how they do it, and going by that information alone, it seems like it's mostly at the discretion of the dealer and what condition they tell GM the vehicle is in. Apparently nobody that works directly for GM really even sees the lease returns which could play in my favor.

The most important thing is now the wife will be able to drive it because it will be automatic......

Of course, the last time she drove a car, it got T-boned and ended up having 6k in damage That was 3 years ago and some moron ran a red light through an intersection.

Thanks 3hummers. I hope so as well, but I'm not leaving without either a new truck or a GMPP. Either way, I'll be ordering underbody protection for whichever truck I end up with.

 

I honestly don't see the pro's outweighing the cons when it comes to getting an alpha. Sure having a v8 is nice...but for the price difference the extra few ponies aren't that impressive. Let's get real here...it's not like your getting a hemi or a big v8 putting out 400hp. Just not worth the price tag IMO
