Disable auto mirror dimming at night?
Hey
Other than pressing the buttons on the rear view mirror, does anyone know how to permantly disable the feature where the side and rear view mirrow darkens (dimmins) at night?
I hate it. I find I loose too much detai of what I can see in my mirrors at night and want it turned off permantly.
Thanks

Thanks for the detailed reply and schematic but it looks like just putting a peice of tape over the sensor on the mirror has done the trick, so far anyways, I haven't driven too much at night yet but so far so good.

I have no idea why you'd want that disabled---I love the way those things work; one of the best inventions on a car since heated seats!
I especially love them when the clowns who think they need headlights with brightness ratings of the sun installed---I hate those cars!
