Is there any interior resonance? I had a turbo Jetta with a 3" Turboback exhaust on it and the resonance inside got to me after a while.

The sound varies from brand to brand in these cat-back systems..Mine is mellow and low at idle, throaty on hard take offs and hardly audiable at cruising speeds except for a sweet low grumble...But no, the cabin is not overwhelmed with noise..

With pix too. One thing I'm concerned about with the ones I am seeing... is those tips are another low point if you actually wheel the H3.

I guess that leaves me out. I curled up my license plate and tweaked the bumper slightly on a rock I found on my last outing. Does anyone know if there are any exahust sytems that exit like the stock sytem?

i was thinking of either getting a Magnaflow muffler and having the tips a little more hidden like stock but still visible or getting a catback exhaust and having them customize the tips. I really don't want to spend $600-900 bucks on a CATBACK exhaust. Its rediculous. I mean, my 3" FULL exhaust on my jetta cost me $800 and that included install.

Yeah..The advantage I seen with Gibson besides being reasonably priced was that, the rear end is clean of a big beer keg Muffler like you got[:'(] and the streamline Gibson muffler fits midship out of sight, like the original did...There is only 3 individual pipes and the muffler..and Yes, with the old fashioned muffler clamps too..But like I told you before..The clamps don't make the exhaust system, only holds it together...And boy do they hold good, they pinch the pipes together and they don't move, I've tried after snugging them up, then loosening them again to readjust a position..I couldn't budge them...But in any case, it wouldn't hurt to tack welded them.
