Hey guys I got a 2003 H2. I am gonna change the diff fluids. Do you guys just drain the fluid and then fill it up or do you guys remove the diff cover and clean the inside with degreaser?

 

Just me but I remove the cover on all mine to inspect and clean out real good. I have never used any type of cleaner but again that's me.

 

Thanks for the reply. Do I have to lift the truck up because it seems pretty high enough to get to all the bolts? Is it alright to just lift the front up to help the rear diff drain better?I am new at this. I want to do it right the first time.

 

Never mine guys. I am just gonna drain and fill without removing the cover.
