Can the 2009-2010 front Iron diff be swapped into the 2008 to have the Eaton lockers and strength? Anyone know the cost? (parts only)

 

It is a stright swap. You already have a cast Iron Front diff if you have an 08 Alpha. I can't tell from your signature if you have an 07 I5 or an 08 Alpha. It says a non existent 2007 H3 Alpha (never made one).

2009-2010 Cast iron diff would have to be from an Alpha (OffRoad or not) if you have an Alpha (4:10 gears). The 2009-2010 non-Alphas that have cast iron fornt diffs are 4:56 gears and have the Eaton E-Locker already (Adventure Package).

If you already have an 08 Alpha it is cheaper to just drop in an Eton E-locker than purchasing a NEW diff with the locker. A used diff may be cheaper but you don't know what it has been through either.....
