Deuce is in the shop ..
And to think they are cheaper than the dealer in Beavercreek, my second closest dealer LOL! I believe this one worked out to be right in the neighborhood of 599 Mike but you gotto add in the diag fee on top of that and it's a flat $100 through them I believe, maybe $75, I don't really give a rats lol. Tax and all that good stuff ... and a shirt shhh .. lol
Diag fee being involved because of the shifting issues in both tcase and tranny .. never gotten away without paying that on any vehicle when there's an "unknown" condition possible ..
I'll give you guys a break down of the costs once I actually get the papers in my hand.
I know they did front/rear diff, t-case, tranny, my coolant per my request, fluid wise. They checkedmy CV boots as well of course, I think I mentioned yday or this morning. On top of that they rebalanced 2 tires because I had lost weights, front end alignment (per my request) check/correction but can't recall the degree it was off, wash, buffed out my trail rashes, and the usual detail package they give me. This was supposedly not billed, they never have before.
And whether this is the BEST deal in town or a deal at all .. well .. I can drive 40 miles to another dealer, get charged as much or in most cases with theB-Creek dealer, MORE ... or I can suck it up. Yes, I could've done this myself but ..... Leaning over a car/truck for 2 hours like I did last time around helping a buddy, I think I told you this Mike, when I gave away my Celica? If you recall I wasn't straight in my back for approx 2.5-3 months ... it's not worth it to me ... I'll rather pay someone else to do it .. and in comparison, 782 bucks and NOT have to goback to physical therapy to get straight again .. or depend on pain meds and muscle relaxants to get through the day ... suddenly the price tag may not be THE most important thing anymore ... besides guys .. common here .. do you REALLY think this comes out of my pocket!??? :P

$800... thank god I can do all that myself... With every 4x4 I have ever owned I refilled all the fluids everytime I run it in significant water... sounds like that is a good practice to keep...
I am glad your little girl is ok though...

FINALLY! Called the dealer and the TB is on the lift. They have gone through rear diff, and working on tranny now.. shy of some much needed new tranny fluid ZERO issues so far. Next up is the front diff, t-case, and then a quick throw on the alignment equipment to make sure I didn't throw it off (I still think it felt a wee bit different driving it but ..) when I took those hard hits in the creek ...

its natural to worry about a true all-terrain vehicle (i.e., not a trailer queen offroad-only truck), especially one that's as good on the road as the H2,, i think.
Thanks GB, I'm glad I'm not the only one to get a wee bit paranoid about these things :-) I figured the rather safe than sorry mentality is better here .. besides, this was stuff I needed to have done regardless so ...
With what I have in it on top of the initial cost, absolutely! And I think we both have our H2's as daily drivers as well, that's the biggest issue for me. In retrospect I wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of both my other cars but garage space, insurance, the additional loan .. no thanks, gotta house to worry about these days!
Actually GreenBlade, we are ALL going back to the Badlands park on April 29th. Would you be able to join us for that one? We will probably have at least 10 to 15 trucks with us that day.
