Default Deuce is in the shop ..

Well, I got my Tubby B*tch dropped off at the dealer this morning and as always, it was a good experience. Even though it is not warranty work they offered me a FREE loaner H2 to drive. Since my wife was there to pick me up I opted out of it for now but was told the offer stands if they need to keep my baby for an extended period of time. Now THAT my friends, that's some GOOD customer service and appreciation if you ask me!

They are looking at my transfer case, both diffs, and the tranny which as of this morning still ran hotter than hell. I checked the tranny fluid last night and it doesn't look like it has anything foreign in it but it definitely needs to be replaced. They said they would get it on the lift and a diagnostic done right away. In fact they pulled it in to the bay as I was leaving so hopefully I should have some answers before lunch.

I need all the finger crossin' help I can get here folks, I'm NOT in the mood for any extended repairs so lets hope it's just something stupid!

Let's hope you can still make it on the 29th! It's probably going to be hotter then it was, but maybe not. I would actually like to see us go back again during a terential downpoor. Now THAT would be some fun times

I've already discussed the 29th with Les and assuming I have a working vehicle I'll be there no questions about it. It only took 3-4 pics from last weekend to get her hooked lol! Assuming I'm not in the need of a new engine or a complete drive train I should have no probs making this event :-) Yanno me, can't pay for it, hold on, lemme play some poker .. lol .. got a house that way, truck should be no issue lol!

Hope it's all minor stuff so you can get your rig back soon, and get out again!

Nope, I called Mike, the service manager just a few minutes ago and they have another white H2 in the tranny bay right now. He said they had looked mine over as much as they could without getting it on the lift and they can't see any issues but we won't really know until we get the diffs, t-case, and tranny looked at as well. I know they went over the front end to ensure I'm not having any leaks anywhere and I know he mentioned something about the bootslooking good (I thought I had a leak there personally but nope)
I guess the other H2 they've got in there is in for a new front diff, and tranny work so they have most of the front end taken apart and just now started re-assembling it again. He told me I should not expect to have my truck back tonight unless there's absolutely nothing wrong with it so ... I'm just going to be patient and let them do what they do best! I didn't think I'd get it back today even with the early drop off so ... I do hope I can get some sort of answer prior to the day being over though .. don't think I can go a whole evening waiting to find out LOL!

I honestly didn't want to hassle with it at 7:30 in the morning Muddy ... plus I draggedthe wifedown there on her way home from work so I could get a ride to work. I didn't expect to get a free loaner and I wasn't about to pay for one until I know what kind of repair costs I'm lookin' at. With our schedules being so different it's actually not that difficult to get by with just one car for a couple of days. Plus, for once I don't have to drive her *** around, it's my turn to chill LOL!
