Ice Road
Once talked to a guy at my dealer who had his H2 in ... he claimed he'd run a rental H3 up the Alaska ice road, just to see the scenery. Apparently had quite an adventure, even took the rig off trail here and there to test out its capabilities, his skill. Told me with the locker on and 4Lo he never once had to dig out. Seems to me that about says it all.

Buried the H3
We got 26" of snow last week and the bottom 4" was slush. We tried to get out of our driveway using the H3 as a plow and she got buried.Tried everything to get out.4H,4L and the tires just spun.We had to dig it out. Totally unimpressed.

What did you expect?

yep, Duratracs
I run them year round. Great in snow for the winter, great on & off road the rest of the year

Well he probably expected, like any big ticket item, for it to work correctly out of the box. Here in Chicago we had a 20 year snowfall of 19 inches in February. My H2 couldn't get out of my alley. Is it worth the money to buy tires that would be capable (maybe) of doing the job? Not for a storm that comes around every couple of decades.
