CTIS Failure
My H1 CTIS failed in the worst possible place. Tires deflated to 15 psi on Washington coast beach. When it was time to go back, compressor kept pumping but at the same time deflating of tires was taking place.
SO here's what's going on. With engine running I selected front tires and pressed compressor switch to inflate. I can hear the compressor operating but at the same time the air escapes. Switching to deflate and than back to inflate doesn't make any difference. Switching to all wheels or rear only has no effect. Can someone help me.
Thanks,
Paul

maybe got sand in one your valves and it's stuck open? Happened to me once and I gave the manifold/solenoids some good tapping with a large maglight to knock the debris loose. I'm assuming you got out of there ok by disconnecting the tires from the system and filling them manually?

i would pull the valves apart and clean the sand out of them. sand gets into the system and when you deflate the tires sand gets caught in the deflate valve and it won't close or seal itself closed. when you pump ibn the air with the deflate valve open, the ctis pump will pump air but it goes out the deflate valve into the atmisphier and not to the tires.
