A couple ways to anger Skeptic.
1 - Sell me a full time 4wd vehicle with a spare tire different size than the other tires and refuse to swap it, even for a used tire of the correct size. Claim that it's not an issue and you would feel just fine driving hundreds of miles at normal highway speeds because even though you wouldn't do that with an AWD, full time 4wd is completely different.
2 - Sell me a certified used H3, used it as a selling point, then when asked why it's not showing up in GMs system as certified say "It's Jerry Signer certified, not GM certified".
Feel free to tell Alex if you think he is a fine upstanding person.

Not sure the relationship between Christopher Nissan and Jerry Seiner (owner of several dealerships including "GM Guy"). Some kind of partnership or co-owner thing.

Hey Jack, what's up? I was going to mention that spare tire thing when we did the trail run, but felt I'd already ran on with my incredible knowledge (or lack thereof) enough and just decided to shut up.
Doesn't seem there's much you can do since you bought the 3 used, but in the interest of good customer service, it should really be no problem to just swap the tire and create a customer that will speak kindly of their business.
It seemed kinda shady to me when I noticed that on your truck that somebody had swapped it out--more than likely the dealer getting a new tire that they needed, then just throwing on a "spare" that they didn't figure mattered. Jack-asses.
Yeah, I discovered that "certified" thing somewhere along the way with another dealer. Gotta watch them, sneaky. But like I told you, if you use Jerry S. over in North Salt Lake (yeah, it'll be a drive), it will be more than worth your efforts and Doug Thomson (service manager) will definitely make sure that you're taken care of, including the rental. If you're out of area and your 3 requires service that the out of area dealer says they won't touch--give Jerry S. a call and more than likely they will take care of it. They covered me in Canada when Shaw GMC wouldn't touch my 3 because of the t-bar crank; they even covered the cost of the rental while the 3 was being fixed.
Even though you feel jerked over by those guys with that certified thing, Jerry S. will certainly take care of you. Hope this helps--if you've got any questions, give me a call!

Thanks - I almost gave you a call to get that guys name/number since you had mentioned good things about him in the past. I did have a chat with the service manager on duty there at the GM service center, and explained with certainty that I am not a happy customer. He seemed helpful enough and told me if anything comes up in the next 3 months to come back to him and he'd take care of me. Not sure what that means, and of course nothing in writing...
In any event, it was my fault for not noticing the tire size issue or verifying what they meant by certified. It was pretty clear by our conversation that I thought it was GM certified, but sleazy sales guys and all...
