After considering the Sylvanias, and doing a lot of research, I opted to go with the Philips. An interesting article I found that helped in my decision. No regrets. 2009 Christmas Review Special: Philips X-treme Power +80 | Lounge | APH Networks

Is it done by lifting the hood?

I agree that the Gobi baskets & accessories look awesome. But the only thing I would be carrying on the roof would be a kayak & I don’t see how that would work in a basket.

With respect to the wheels, ouch!!! Did not think they would be that much – might a better option be to just to see if someone can powder coat/paint the factory silver rims black? Thanks again for all your help.
Has anyone tried this. I think the only issue would be that the stock tactical rims have sort of a satin/gloss type finish. Has anyone done this to match on silver or chrome rims. If so, what to use. I've been thinking about purchasing some open spoke alloy/silver rims and trying this, but I don't want a dull black.

I know quite a few people that have done this, not all for a HUMMER. They used Duplicolor wheel paint and prepped the wheels and caps like crazy! They do have a gloss to them. I painted a silver center cap black for my tactical spare, I can't tell which one it is. I had a five tire rotation done a while back and it was thrown into the mix. Just plan on only being able to complete one wheel a day. Send me a pm with your email and I'll send you some info. I don't want to post stuff from another forum
