The Corvette Development Engineering team took the new ZR1 to the test track in Papenburg, Germany and put the pedal to the metal to see just how fast it could go. It looks to me as if they went 206.7 mph with two testers and equipment. Oh, and the final HP numbers have been released, it is making 638hp. The car comes supercharged from the factory running 10.5 psi. Can you say... pulley? This car has the chance to be the be-all end-all of bolt on power, especially if this engine responds to both a cam upgrade like the natrually aspirated LS3 engine that its based off of does. Combine that with a pulley, full exhaust and a tune & this car will be something else.

Yea, I found out the hard way that the autobahn actually has speed limits on it though. Was called into the Commanders office and he showed me a pic of me driving the BMW that I had rented 2 weeks earlier along with the ticket they mailed me.
