Default Corvette transmission = H2?

Alright guys I've been searching for a new transmission for awhile but I came across an intresting concept. I think

The 4l65e is the tranny in the 03' H2. It's also in the 05' Corvette. So knowing they both can handle the same power and the same bolt patterns. Could someone take a Tremec T65 manual transmission from the Vette and stick it into an H2 Obviously the clutch peddles would be a pain and stuff but it would be really sick.

Just an idea

You probably could if you can figure out a shifter and if you would want to turn your H2 in a two wheel drive.

Now that would make the deuce into a real beast. I think not having the 2wd option on the hammers was a big engineering mistake. Would love to have the 2wd option for mpg and not a fan of the awd system in the snow. I find it unpredictable. As I've had the back end slide out on me without warning. Would much rather have to switch to 4 hi.

If you can pull it off, go for it. But I'm sure it won't be easy.

Interesting idea, but I would stick with the auto.
Apart from the insane amount of custom work that will have to go into a T56 swap, if you ever plan on selling your H2, you'll never get your money back...who wants to buy a 2wd Hummer...

I don't think he intends to have a 2wd h2. Just the 2wd option. Which predator does when they do a dura max conversion. Had gm put a dura max with the 2wd option they would probably still be building them.

Look at how undesirable the H3's are with a 5spd! About as popular as prostitute with and STD.

Dont know about the corvete trany but the swap to a manual on a h2 has been done before and is not a cheap swap , here in my area there is 2 that iknow off ... look around the elcova forums i think i remember reading a post of someone who did the swap there a long time ago... by the way my first hummer (h3) was a manual and it was ok on the pavement but offroad was another story. .....
