coolant temp sensor location?

Default coolant temp sensor location?

got a ck engine lite and code reader says "COOLANT TEMP SENSOR " does anyone know where it's located?

I have a 07 I5,
Back of engine near firewall, right side, I think.
I had mine leak awhile back and had it replaced

I don't know what year or engine you have, you didn't state

sorry 2006 h3 with 3.5 l probably should be in same place ???

Top area toward back.
Your probably correct, they should be in the same place from a 3.5 to q 3.7, but I am not sure.
I had thought I had a bad head issue, but it turned out it was the coolant temp sensor.
Sorry, but I don't have a schematic of the engine layout

hes right, behind motor, top, back near fire wall , ours "2006's" is on passenger side. Mine when i wiggle it it will throw the coolent code, po128 i think, temp below operating levels or somthing like the thermistat is stuck open.. but if i wiggle and tighten the cable sensor and erase the obd 2code.. ill be good for months, just changed my spark plus and hit the cable and had to clear the code again... should be good till somone on goes stickn there hand back there again
