Stopped building my own PCs since all I do at home is surf the 'net, do an occasional Word doc and make simple movies with Windows Movie Maker. My POS HP pc does it fine with a dual core 4.0 (2- 2.0 chips, I think) and 2 gb ram.

 

speeking of computers... my hp laptop (dv6000) runs very hot, I am considering installing SpeedFan (not sure whether you heard of it) but its a program that monitors the temperatures of diff. parts of your computer, and you can controll your computers fan. does anyone have any experience w/ this app. or know if it will work properly on my comp?

 

I've heard of it but haven't tried it yet. Haven't heard any bad things though.
