Hi guys, need help with the chrome base antenna install, does it go over the existing base or do remove the original? also does the antenna need to come off? thanks in advance.

 

It depends on which brand of antenna base cover you bought. If you got the GM OEM cover made by Defenderworx, you must first unscrew the antenna from the base and slowly pry off & remove the original black plastic base cover & replace it with the billett cover making sure that all 4 sides are making contact with the fender. Very easy to do.
