CB Antennas..
I ran the cable through the vent under the tire carrier then through the cable run in the door.
Then I ran the cable down the left (driver side) and under the seats. I ran it to the driver console and removed the panel on the left to access the hole to the drivers dash. I put the remote box there and then ran my mike cable up to it (from the center console)
I had a friend that had a swr meter I think we got it tuned but I may take it to a local CB shop to have it professionally tuned. I'm getting about a 3-5 mile range on it from the front/rear. The NOAA weather stations work great!
Did you know that your H3 has metal rubbing even as you read this? I was quite supprised to find that the rear tire carrier has no gaskets between it and the body of the truck. It's paint on paint contact. I wound up getting some 1/4" gasket material made up to fit the 4 screws that hold the tire carrier in place. Now I have a nice 1/4" (actually a bit less after I finished torquing the screws down!) bit of gasket between the two. One reason I went with a bit of gasket material between the carrier and the vehicle was to add some space out for the firestik II antennas to clear the rear wiper.I was worried about the install but it actually was pretty simple. I'll post a step by step tomorrow! I've been busy the last few days with my sons "Day out with Thomas" trip and today with the German Sausage Festival in Elberta. Pic's in the morning! Have a good night guys!

RE: CB Radio Install + New antenna
Hey, I drove 600 miles one day for my son to see "Thomas the Tank Engine" and then about 100 miles the next day for the Sausage festival. *(I was lazy today and stayed inside!)* Mostly because of all the rain were getting! Hard to keep a vehicle clean while having to drive around in the rain!

Wu Jen,
The antennas look great. Where did you get them from? Do you have a part no.? Also, did you fabricate the antenna harness yourself or did it come with the antenna? I'm really interested in getting one as well and your location selection is brilliant!
