yesterday i put a cherry bomb muffler on my h3 hoping to get results like i have seen online. Unfortunately my engine is louder then my exhaust still, and there is hardly a difference from my stock. All i replaced was the muffler and the tip. What can i do to make it louder??? PLEASE HELP

 

I would turn the muffler around and add new pipe in 2.5" all the way out the end. This will help the noise issue. Performance issue might be a different issue. I run a Gibson extreme dual cat-back system, and I get so many compliments on how good it sound, that I am looking at the same system for my Alpha

 

Get a CD with loud fart pipe exhaust recorded on it, then blast that on the stereo with the windows down.

 

when i was a teen i used to hack the exhaust off all my cars and replace it with a cherry bomb. Every time it would be quiet for the first week or so until it "broke" in. it gets louder as time goes on. also make sure that the little baffle scoops inside are going with the flow of the exhaust not against it.

 

Here's something to think about. I have a GM performance exhaust on my Alpha and I always thought it was so quiet I also could hear me engine over it. So I thought. Everyone else told me it was loud. After hearing the H3 pull away while my girl friend was using it I realized it was only quiet in the truck.
Turned out perfect for me.
