Changing my appearance...........
Mike: Thanks for the offer, but I have my new badges coming any day now. I'm keeping the chrome hood cover because it's still the centerpiece of the vehicle
Sarah: In reference to your other post, yes I still love you and no I'm not asking for a divorce
The past few weeks have been quite hectic for me and my mind is just all kinds of stupid. Anyway, the lines are not the final product, but they applied as a set, so I made changes after that. You'll see it all when it's done in a week or two
(OK Well Mike and Nick will see it Saturday, but it won't be "done" yet)
Doc: Kerflop put my badges on crooked as well, which was one of the reasons I took them off. You figure they could at least have gotten that right. It's ok though, because I think the new ones symbolize my personality better anyway. Most people won't get a couple of them though
More to come (uh, if I have the money for it)

Thanks Bob! I told you to have some faith in me.
AND, just so you know, I think I'm going to add a little bling that I took off, just in a more better-looking fashion. I took those chrome strips off the door because they were just too wide, but I'm going to put thinner ones on. You'll see. The pin striping is done. Don't worry, it doesn't look as bad as it does in the pictures. I removed 3 of the 5 strips to make it look less gaudy.
You guys will get a kick out of this; my wife says the pin striping makes the H3 look "80s"
I wish I had the money for a brush guard, but I just can't even think about anything like that until the spring.
DOC!!! I know you are new, so check this link out. I did this in the spring. Since you are into Chevy's, I KNOW you'll like it:

There are mixed reviews about it on here, but I did it for show purposes only. Unfortunately, the main show I was supposed to debut it in ended up turning all Hummer entries down (another story on here).

Thanks! Well, in my defense (yes, the "no posting today" thing just went RIGHT out the window), it looks better as a whole then it doesin those pictures. Let the secret be told, I have some NIN decals coming that I'm going to put in line with the lower door panel pin striping that will go where the H3 badges were. That will probably throw people off who don't know who Nine Inch Nails is. I also have a "Made In U.S.A." decal coming with the Army star (well, sorta looks like it) that I'm putting on the rear hatch where that H3 badge was. All the decals are gloss black except for one, that is being made (hopefully) with a high-gloss red that will be on the rear window. I know it sounds like alot, but when you think about how many logos and badges GM slaps on the H3, it's really just replacing what was already on there.

The last one I'm getting will be a "4 Medlen" 4" decal that all of the NHRA cars are wearing now to pay tribute to Eric Medlen's career and the family's new charity organization, again, you have to be familiar with these things to understand their significance.
Here's what's going in the back window:

I wanted to do something different with the tail lights, but without spending $200 on new ones. I used some of the pin striping I had left over to create a thick black border around the tail lights, and make them unique. At first (when I did it last night) I didn't think it was going to look all that great, but it actually turned out really nice, and definitely gives the rear end a new look.
I will post pics later tonight when I get home. I'm still not done with it yet because the printer I had my other decals come from had some faulty equipment so they just got sent out on Monday. After we go off-roading on Saturday (if that even happens anymore) I'm going to put everything back on and get it all cleaned up. Next weekend I'll be taking it to the lake (Michigan) to take some good pictures of it for once. I'll post the pics of the finished product next weekend sometime. I think it looks nice, not too blingy, and not too plain, but definitely unique. I hope............
