Exclamation Changing Air Suspension?

Is there a shut off switch or a way to shut off the air bags when I change my rear suspension air bags? They have to go on a lift to be changed and they need to be off so they dont explode when they lower the lift. If anyone knows anything about this, please help me out, thanks a lot.

I've had to change an air line on my 03 H2. Just remove the plastic line from the bag. It's not going to explode. Unbolt it and replace. I use Parker style air fittings. I've had alot of custom vehicles with full air bag suspension. The back of an H2 is no different other than the way air is introduced to the bag. Obviously do the work with the truck off and it wont try to re-inflate the bags when you disconnect the air lines

If your key is off, your compressor will not start. When you pull the line off the bag, it will deflate.

Not necessarily. Mine stayed on after shutting off but that was because the relay switch got stuck. But yes, you can pull the fuse too. It is under the hood. Manual will tell you which one it is

Just disconnect the battery, lift the vehicle, ice pick the air bag to get it totally deflated, disconnect the air line (it has a push/pull connector on it) push the fitting that the airline is connected to while gently pulling the air line and it will disconnect. Swap the bags out. reconnect the airline, reconnect the battery and voila. 15 minutes to change my bags.
