Default CD Player Issues

Hi All,

I'm somewhat new to the forums. I had a look through for anything already existing on CD players but it didn't seem to match my problem.

I've just bought a '09 H3 a few days back and I absolutely love it. It needs a few minor things sorting but it got the all clear from the garage I took it to.

My issue is I didn't think to check the CD player, and nor did the garage. It seems to work, as there is a CD in there that plays but it won't eject. When I hit the eject button it makes a noise like it's trying to eject but it doesn't come out. I also can't insert a CD whilst this other is inside. I've tried using a CD to sort of jimmy the CD that's inside out but this hasn't worked.

Is this a common problem?? Is there a way of removing the CD or resetting the unit?? I don't mind taking to a garage but just wanted to try everything before hand.

Thanks

To eject one disk press the button once. To eject multiple disks press and hold the button.

If it is a single cd player it may mean it is jammed. There is typically a manual way of removing cds.

Thanks for your responses. It is a single CD player I think. There is no indication otherwise that it is a 6 cd changer.

Like I said, on pressing the button it sounds like it is trying to eject but it then doesn't eject, and then a message appears on the LCD saying CHECK CD.

What is the "typically manual way" of removing a CD from a player like this?

Thanks

I stick a knife in there and push the cd down so it guides back into position and pops out. Depending on what yours is doing you may have to experiment.
