Default cant hook up trailer W/spare tire

I was put in a position to be forced into getting new tires so I got some 315/75/16,,,, Even got the spare to match. Only problem I have had is that I cant hook up my trailers (boats and four wheeler) to it. The spare tire is so big that when I try to hook up,,,,,,,,,, the coupler latch gets pressed in by the tire (not allowing me to lock on the ball). Is there a fix for this????? I hate havin to take the spare tire off every time I need to tow.
Thanks

A ball on the bumper of an H3? You must have an H3T??? I have no problems with a 315/75r16 tire on the back of my H3 unless I forget and leave the rear door open when connecting.

No, I don't have a T, Iv gotta H3 with a receiver hitch. I thought that if I took off the spare tire "holder" and inverted it, it might give me enough room but I took it off and found out that the studs (that hold the spare tire holder) are offset so they don't line up.. Ill try to get a PIC tonight so yall can see what I got going on..
Thanks for the replies

You must be using a very short receiver ball hitch bar. There are may lengths and drops available.
I have 315/75/16 Duratracs and don't have ANY issue with the trailer receiver fitting, and I even have a 3" drop hitch bar mounted upside down so my trailer is level.

Thanks Bunger. You've had that trailer for a few years right? I think I have saved pics of it a year or so back. I was goin to build one like it... Still might...
So my hitch sticks out probably 6" or so as it is... Are you saying Im gonna need to get a longer one? It looks like Ill need to get one about 3" or 4" LONGER than what I already have....... Is that even safe? Here's a few pictures.

Drop hitch. I'd say 2" make more and couple inches longer.

I tow our H3 behind our Bluebird motorhome and the hitch goes back 12 inches. Need to be able to open the rear engine hatch on the bird.
No problem and safe as can be.

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like im goonna need a longer hitch... a drop hitchh wouldnt really work for mme because it would put my trailer to much att a forward angle.
Thanks again!
