Per my OnStar Diag report:

Resetting Your Oil Life IndicatorIf you have recently had an oil change, but the oil life percentage in your
email has not increased, please follow these instructions for resetting your Oil Life Indicator.

2006HummerH3

1. With the engine off, turn the ignition to ON.
2. Press and release the stem in the lower center of the instrument cluster until the OIL LIFE message is displayed.
3. Once the alternating OIL LIFE and RESET messages appear, press and hold the stem until several beeps sound. This confirms that the oil life system has been reset.
4. Turn the key to LOCK.
Also, you do know that the owners manual is available electronically on the Hummer Owners web site?

Electronic manual, sweet. For any first time do it their self oil changers on the H3, when you take out the drain plug that damn oil will rush out so fast at first that it will darn near hit your driver sidetire! I'm exagerating some, but have the drain pan way, I mean way, over to the driver side when the plug is pulled. I did my second one last night and held my catch pan up near the plug and over to the side with one hand while pulling the plug, no mess this time. IMO that filter location is a gem as well?

Go to http://www.mygmlink.com/, register, login, go to the Glove Box section, and the PDF manual is there for viewing or downloading.

YOU AIN'T KIDDIN!!!! I think the guy that designed that filter location had a hand the size of a 10 year old!!! And the freakin stock filter that was on there was so damn long that it had to be tilted drastically to get it out...of course that spilled all the oil out of it[:@][:@]Is it just me or the drain pluf for the oil tank pretty damn lose to the crossmember? The oil was hitting the cross member and splashing instead of just pouring straight down into the pan. still better than paying the stealership $70 to do it

I was thinking about one of those Fram quick drain kits. You know, the treaded valve with the little screw on drain hose. They were popular a few years ago, but I think they might have disconinued them???? They drain slower, but the squirt over and on the cross member would be taken care of??? Can't do crap about that stinkin filter location though [&:]

Found some on ebay, now why didn't I check what the hale size drain plug...........got to be a 12 x 1.75? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FRAM-...mZ290136080149 Don't need two though.

Here is a single. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Fram-...spagenameZWDVW
